Shoulder

Wrist

Cervical Spine

Thoracic Spine

Lumbar Spine

  • I fix/do not fix grade 2 lumbar spondylolisthesis
  • Disk replacements are good for (patients/doctors)

Hip and Pelvis

  • Avascular necrosis of the femoral head without collapse should be treated with decompression
  • Primary hip replacement: anterior approach versus posterior approach
  • Suspected sepsis of a total hip replacement should be evaluated with an aspiration despite the possible risk of infecting a clean joint
  • Displaced femoral neck fracture in older patient: hemiarthroplasty versus total hip arthroplasty
  • Displaced femoral neck fracture: internal fixation vs arthroplasty
  • Prophylactic pinning of contralateral SCFE: yes or no
  • In situ pinning for SCFE: 1 screw or 2 screws

Femur

  • I (always/never/sometimes) ream open femoral fractures
  • Intramedullary nails (not flexible) in older children for femur fractures
  • Femoral fixation for total hip arthroplasty in older patients: uncemented versus cemented
  • Femoral nailing - To freehand nail or use a fracture table?
  • Femoral nailing - piriformis versus trochanteric start point

Knee

  • I sacrifice/retain the PCL when doing a knee replacement
  • Double bundle versus single bundle anterior cruciate ligament
  • Tibial tubercle transfers for patellofemoral symptoms: pro and con

Ankle
