A DOG CAN HAVE LICE AND FLEAS

Application to clinical (human) medicine: do not stop your diagnostic work up as soon as you find one condition as multiple conditions may be present.

Examples: ACL tears are often accompanied by collateral ligament injuries and calcaneal fractures can be seen with femoral neck or spine fractures.
